Cable needle

A cable is a crossing of stitches made by reversing the position of the stitches on the needle. Cable needles look like double-pointed needles but are "twisted" to prevent the stitches from wandering around and to allow them to stay in place on the needle.

They are generally much shorter (2.5 mm and 4 mm) than double-pointed needles, making them easier to handle.
