Sewing tutorial: Halloween masks
Making felt masks is a fun and easy activity for children. To make them, you'll only need felt, glue, elastic, and a template.
This tutorial, ideal for Halloween, is simple and easy to do with children. The masks are designed for children aged 8 to 10, but they can be adjusted for different sizes by modifying the pieces when printing (reduce by 5 to 10%).

To ensure this activity is safe for children, choose solvent-free glue. Our team recommends a fabric glue, suitable for felt, perfect for this activity.
Important note: water-based glue has a longer drying time. For proper use and a successful result, be sure to let the glue dry thoroughly once the piece is positioned, without touching it until it's dry.
Here are the steps to create these adorable masks:
- Print the mask pattern of your choice.
- Cut out each piece of the pattern (You can transfer it to a rigid template to retain the shape and reproduce it infinitely!).
- Trace the pattern pieces onto the corresponding felt sheets.
- Cut out each piece from the felt.
- Layer and glue the different mask pieces.
- (After gluing the pieces together, you can sew them.)
- Punch a hole on each side of the mask and thread an elastic band through.
And there you have it, a mask ready to wear!

The detailed shapes for these masks are available for download and are very easy to use. Each page represents a different animal:
- The all-green monster with its big scar
- The vampire with its sharp fangs
- The pumpkin with scary eyes
